Bird Care

Birds make excellent pets, many being intelligent, easy to care for and, require little grooming. In addition they are relatively inexpensive to feed, and depending on the species may require little space to keep, making them a great indoor pet.

The following birds are available at our Sligo Pet Centre:

  • Australian finches
  • Zebra finches
  • Budgies
  • Diamond doves
  • Cocatiels

More exotic species include:

  • Hand Tamed Pionus in store now. These are beautiful birds with the intelligence of a 4 year old child, able to mimic people. A must see!
  • Yorkie canaries
  • Rosaburkes
  • Mixed cocatiels
  • Masked love birds
  • Ring Necked Parrot

The Sligo centre stocks an extensive range of Puik foods including bulk bags ideal for breeders. Full range of accessories, toys cages, nesting boxes and aviary drinkers in stock.
